Gamekeeping at Hartpury

Hartpury’s commercially run Home Farm and newest development at Okle Clifford Farm are the settings for all of our agriculture, game and land-based students. You will gain invaluable experience on our 286 hectare farm estate participating in various gamekeeping duties including beating on our commercial shoot. Additionally you will undertake management of the Red Deer herd.

Some of the subjects you will study include fishery management, deer management, pest and predator control, gamebird production, woodland management, ecology and conservation, land-based machinery operations and an investigative project of your own choice of topic.
