NPTC Level 2 Certificate in Forgework – Farriery

This qualification delivers the foundation skills required for recognising basic blacksmith’s tools, understanding how the forge hearth works, and introducing the practical blacksmithing skills of forging, forming, cutting, and joining.

The qualification is available to candidates aged 16 years and over. It is primarily for those who wish to develop a career in farriery or Hobby blacksmithing, also those who wish to develop forging skills in conjunction with existing professional abilities. Eg. Engineers or metalwork artists

This qualification is recognised throughout the UK. Positioned within the national qualifications framework at level 2, the qualification provides an accredited qualification in forgework.
