The School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences at Nottingham Trent University is one of the leading centres in the UK for animal and environmental sciences.

We’re based on Brackenhurst campus, just 14 miles outside Nottingham. A dedicated 200-hectare farm and woodland estate, it provides the perfect outdoor classroom. The rural campus has offered specialist courses for more than 50 years.

  • Animal Unit – home to more than 200 animals of over 60 different species.
  • Equestrian Centre– including stabling for 65 horses, international size indoor and outdoor riding arenas and a horse walker.
  • Modern glasshouses – alongside polytunnels and a Victorian walled garden.

  • Industry standard Geographical Information System (GIS) hardware and software.
