Agriculture (Farming) Level 3
It’s an exciting time to step into the agriculture industry, a dynamic and increasingly technical sector and one of the UK’s biggest employers.
This programme includes a broad range of units to enable you to develop the knowledge and technical skills required to work this area.
You’ll focus on agricultural land management, livestock production and crop production. Areas of study include plant and soil science, farm livestock husbandry, crop production, machinery operations and estate skills. The programme enables you to gain the knowledge and skills needed for a range of agricultural work including arable and livestock production, machinery operations, business management and agricultural science.
All 16-19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and Maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade C in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies
