Course Overview
You will gain practical experience of tractor fieldwork, estate skills and a range of stock tasks, as well as being given an opportunity to visit relevant shows and exhibitions. You can gain certification in one of the following certificates of competence: telehandler, ATV, shearing or tractor driving. You will experience work in a range of agricultural areas through practical sessions on the College farm. This will be underpinned by your theoretical classroom work and backed up with relevant work experience in the industry.

With a strong emphasis on combining traditional skills with modern technology and legislation, this course is ideal if you are working towards employment in the agricultural sector. Successful completion at Merit grade or above will allow you to progress to a Level 3 Extended Diploma or move into employment with an apprenticeship (entry requirements apply).
