Agriculture Level 2 at Askham Bryan College
Overview
This course gives an introduction to the agricultural industry. Learn about working in the agriculture industry and develop the skills you will need in employment and for further learning.
Description
A one year combined practical and theory based course with the main emphasis on developing your practical skills. In addition you will also under take some theory sessions that will allow you to better understand what you learn on practical sessions, including farm duties and work experience.

A work experience day is built into the course to further enhance your practical skills. A feature of the course is the range of visits we undertake, to a range of organisations, farms, shows and demonstrations. Throughout the course your work is constantly assessed, there are no formal exams in the course but there may be short tests.
Additional qualifications are offered to those learners at the commencement of their programme, these may include rough terrain fork lift truck operation, ATV training, tractor driving as well as health and safety in agriculture, but charges may apply.
