2BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture
This qualification is aimed at those interested in plant and animal production and management of different environments.
The Level 2 in Agriculture has been developed to provide entry and progression into, and within, agricultural and land management industries that fall within the environmental and land-based sector.
It identifies knowledge, understanding and technical skills that employers will need from learners entering the sector in the coming years. The qualifications are made up of five and 10 credit units of learning that give learners explicit recognition of their learning in education and work. They are assessed using a range of traditional and contemporary models such as practical assessments, written assessments and blended learning.
Work experience forms a large part of the study programme, with learners needing to complete over 300 hours off site work experience. This has to be undertaken in an area related area to your main qualification and learners are expected to secure this prior to commencing the course if possible
