Working with horses and in the equine industry can be a rewarding and fulfilling career. By studying equine management, you will take an important step in gaining knowledge about horses and the equine industry. You will learn about their husbandry, physiology, performance and training alongside business management, fitness training, event management, behaviour and welfare. This programme will give you advanced knowledge, skills and experience necessary for the expansive equine industry.
The Level 3 Equine Management course is an advanced programme which will help prepare you for the exciting and interesting world of equine studies. This programme will give you advanced knowledge of horses, training and the equine industry. It is a vocational course equivalent to up 3 A Levels and up to 168 UCAS points.

Our Walford equine centre and highly qualified staff will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and become proficient at handling and managing horses and working in a wide range of roles in the industry. This programme covers many aspects of equestrianism with particular emphasis on science, physiology, health, husbandry, equitation, business management and work experience. Our equine centre will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and undertake further training with our horses and highly qualified staff. Our centre includes American Barn stabling, large indoor and outdoor arenas, paddocks and opportunities for hacking and cross-country. Our centre is approved by the British Horse Society and is an approved riding school. We run an extensive programme of trips and visits as well as running masterclasses with a wide range of industry specialists and guest speakers. In the spring term you are required to complete an industry placement as part of your course to further enhance your employability skills and develop industry contacts.
