Horse Care Certificate – Level 2

This programme is an excellent opportunity for you to develop a sound knowledge and understanding of horse care and riding through both practical and theory-based sessions. The course includes valuable work experience which will enable you to develop reliable practical skills in the equine industry and on the College equine yard. All students participate in yard duties throughout the year alongside their main programme of study.

Why choose us
Previous students have taken part in many different visits, including to the Horse of the Year Show and Badminton Horse Trials, as well as visiting various equine establishments such as racing, polo, dressage yards and natural horsemanship centres. There are also opportunities to gain additional qualifications such as Emergency First Aid at Work, training for BHS Stage exams and the BHS Riding and Road Safety. You will have the opportunity, if you wish, to compete on College horses and take part in various events such as inter- college competitions.
