Horticulture, Landscaping & Sports Turf
Horticulture/Landscape Operative Apprenticeship Level 2
You need to be employed to start an Apprenticeship. Please visit our vacancy page or if you have an employer, please ensure you add full contact details of your employer within your application. If you are unable to secure employment, you could enrol on a full-time study programme and transfer to an Apprenticeship at a later date. Please apply for a full-time course as your second option.
This course is for anyone interested in studying while working in parks, gardens, garden centres, nurseries, cemeteries or green spaces, as a landscape gardener, or in production horticulture. The programme was written by industry professionals and provides you with the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours that employers are looking for.
The apprenticeship includes the Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work and Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides.
Teaching could be through weekly workshop days at the Cannington campus, block weeks of teaching in October and February half terms, or one-to-one sessions in your workplace. Whichever option you and your employer choose, 20% of your time will be spent learning.
