Introduction to Careers in the Environment (Level 1)

This course will introduce you to working with plants, trees, livestock and wildlife species and habitats within the environment.

This course is ideal for school leavers who are seeking to explore careers in horticulture, arboriculture, agriculture or environmental conservation. It also provides an opportunity for you to develop personal, social and employability skills in a highly supportive environment.

You will primarily work outdoors on practical projects working with plants and habitats using tools and equipment within our beautiful campuses. You will also undertake work experience within the environmental industries.

A variety of assessment methods will be used to measure your progress from your starting point and against your expected outcomes and target grades. These may include practical tasks and assessments, written assignments, performance reviews, presentations and discussions.
