Introduction to Farriery – Level 2 – City and Guilds Certificate

This is a preparatory course in forgework and horse care to prepare you for entry into the specialist and competitive Level 3 Apprenticeship in Farriery. It includes both the City and Guilds Level 2 Technical Diploma in Horse Care and a bespoke forging certificate. The course provides an introduction of equine and farriery knowledge with a main element being the practical forging skills to prepare you for an apprenticeship in farriery. This course offers the expertise of our highly qualified farriery and equine tutors. To gain farriery experience you will be encouraged to undertake a period of work experience with a qualified farrier, which will help reinforce your awareness of farriery as a possible career.
