Land-based Engineering at Suffolk New College

At Suffolk New College, our Land-Based Engineering courses go beyond building larger tractors and farm machinery. These programs equip students with a wide range of specialist technical practical skills and detailed knowledge in areas such as diagnosing complex faults, robotics, computer-based imaging, GPS technology, science-based solutions, climate forecasting, and environmental controls.
Students learn to repair engines, vehicle systems, electric systems, hydraulic systems, and more. The curriculum covers health and safety, calculations for service engineering, and workshop processes. If you’re 16 years or older and want to work in land-based engineering, this qualification prepares you for employment or further learning within the industry
