Level 1 Qualification in Land-Based Studies (Horticulture)

This course is highly practical and makes full use of the excellent Horticultural resources.

Students are able to access a range of additional learning support, based on need. They will develop a range of employability skills, including practical skills, communication, and land-based/environmental specific knowledge, as well as develop their ICT skills. Along with this, and the practical development of maths and English skills, there is a focus on developing students both personally and professionally so they are able to take on further studies or progress into employment.

The course is well supported through the use of virtual learning resources. Students will also get the opportunity to carry out a work placement onsite in Broadview Gardens and at our nursery at Court Lane.
