2Level 2 Countryside Worker Apprenticeships
This apprenticeship is aimed at anyone who wants to be involved in managing the environment, working in National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), National Nature Reserves as well as private landed estates, country or urban parks. The apprenticeship involves developing a range of practical conservation skills, including: habitat management and surveying; construction of fences, gates and other access structures; and delivering activities to engage and inform the public. Alongside a strong practical skill base, apprentices will learn about the laws and policy relevant to working in the countryside, including sustainability reforms, and how conservation work interacts with the productive and recreational use of the countryside.
