Level 3 Technical Diploma in Equine Management

This is a one or two year, full time course consisting of a range subjects that enable students to achieve an excellent foundation in equine studies preparing them for employment in various fields within the industry. The course offers students exceptional opportunity to gain hands on experience to develop their practical skills in horse husbandry and riding.

Year two builds on the essential skills and knowledge gained in year one with students progressing to develop higher level skills such as; yard management, working with breeding stock and organising events. Alongside the course students are trained towards their British Horse Society qualifications, and are supported to take exams from BHS Stage 1 through to BHS Stage 3 and BHS stage 2 teach.

This course is structured to include mandatory and optional units, allowing students to specialise, particularly in year 2. Students are required, as part of this course, to undertake a two external work experience placements and perform duties on the College Yard.
