George Moffett

George has worked at CAFRE (formerly Greenmount College of Agriculture and Horticulture) since 1990. His initial role was lecturer in beef and sheep production, for Further Educationstudents.

Following a period of 5 years delivering the Youth Training Programme (YTP) and Jobskills programme in Agriculture, Goerge managed a team with responsibility for the delivery of business management and legislative training courses to farmers in Northern Ireland. After a period of three years he was appointed to an administrative role in the College providing the secretariat to the College Management Team, developing the College business plan, monitoring its delivery and managing an administrative team provide administrative support to CAFRE Development Service.

In 2010 George assumed the role of Programme Manager for Higher Education courses in Agriculture and led the delivery of CAFRE’s HND, Foundation degree and Honours degree courses in Agriculture.

I was appointed to my current role of Head of Agriculture Education in 2014. This role involves the management of CAFRE’s agriculture education provision from Level 2 to Level 6.
