To deliver on the skills agenda for the land based sector it is fundamental that we attract su?cient people of the right calibre into it. Core to the role of NLBC is the championing of land based careers as high-quality professions. We will be a strong advocate for land based and the career opportunities within it (including Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths: STEM). There have been many initiatives set-up over the years by individual sectors within land based to promote their professions and our aim is to encourage and facilitate the whole sector to work more collaboratively and e?ciently, to inspire and guide people into land based careers. Through our neutral position and expanding network, NLBC will draw together current careers and skills initiatives to increase current impact. Our NLBC Registration Scheme, and wider digital channels, will act as an overarching professional register and careers framework, providing careers inspiration, guidance and tracking, encouraging entrants, educational progression and continued professional development.
